Meet The Team

I am doing a Placement at The Old Police Cells Museum in Brighton. Here, my title is ‘Engagement and Education Officer’, which means I am making resources to be used with school groups. 

 I'm doing a creative project focusing on making a TikTok for the dungeons and dragons community. I'll be teaching people different ways to play the game and how to use your D&D experience in your writing.

I am undertaking my placement with ‘The Book Marketer’, learning how to promote a book through outreach and social media.

I’ve chosen to do a creative project. I’ll be creating an Instagram account focusing on the City of Brighton. I’ll be interviewing residents of the city to create profiles and I’ll be using videos and photos to act as both a guide and a celebration of the city.

I'm doing a placement with Epoque Press as a Social Media Marketing Assistant. This role entails me promoting the company via the TikTok platform and collaborating with Brighton authors and booksellers.

I am doing a creative piece that involves creating an art instagram account where I will create original characters and tiny comics to tell their story. Using digital art and videos to experiment in different ways of storytelling. 

I am doing a Placement at ‘The Old Market Theatre’. My title is ‘social media and marketing assistant’ and my roles are helping with creating social media content, advertisements, newsletters and press releases. 

I am doing a creative piece centred around intentional language misuse. The intention of this is to help inform people about the verbal gymnastics that are employed to diminish the truth, or outright lie about it. The misuse explored ranges from everyday conversation, celebrity/influencer rhetoric, all the way up to corporate and institutional jargon. 

 I’m lucky enough to already work in my chosen field and as my placement I am using my role as Events Manager for Brighton Book Festival. Here, I book authors, liaise with publishing houses, and run the publicity campaigns for the festival. 

I am doing a creative project that represents myself and my most beloved form of self expression: music.

I am publishing three songs I have written on Youtube and Soundcloud. This small collection is called “I guess this qualifies as an EP''. 

My placement is at the Old Market Theatre, where I’m a social media and marketing assistant. 

 I created my TikTok account Rickysixsixsix because I have a love of horror movies. I review horror movies which followers have recommended, while suggesting horror movies or documentaries I have watched. 

I am doing a Placement at ‘Journalism.co.uk’ and I have had 3 articles published thus far. Whilst on my Placement, I have been able to gain an understanding of how it is to work as a journalist in a professional environment.

I’m doing a creative project based on real life events told through twitter as a way to help people going through similar struggles. 

I'm doing a placement at Little Green Pig where I'll be working as a story mentor at an after school club encouraging 7-11 year olds to explore their creativity.

My creative project is an Instagram account in which I write book reviews on a variety of different books, talking about the genre, style, themes and my own opinion of the book. 

For my placement I am developing the social media presence of Go Balance, a predominant conservationist group based in Brazil that conducts carbon offsetting projects to bring a combination of environmental and social benefits. 

I am doing a creative project looking into young adult’s transition into adulthood through the form of a podcast. This piece of work will be beneficial to me as I am able to work with different groups of people to gain a vast perspective.

I am doing a Placement as a social media assistant at Brighton Peace and Environment Centre. I am interested in Public Relations and Social Media Management.

I am doing a Creative Project based on the ‘Human’s of New York’ campaign by Brandon Stanton, titled ‘People of South East’. 

I am doing a Placement at ‘The Book Marketer’. I would like to publish short stories and do travel writing.

I am doing a Creative Project making a podcast to teach conversational and colloquial English. In the future, I want to teach English as a foreign language.

I am doing a creative project based on video games journalism. This will entail creating and editing video reviews to distribute on YouTube and Gaming Twitter audiences, delving into narrative in video games and wider context of the games industry as well as how people use video games as a tool to cope with mental health.

I am doing a creative project. This will detail the process of writing an Autobiographical collection of Poetry following the theme of Flowers, which are accompanied by illustrations and photography designed by myself. 

I am doing a creative project making a video based on the idea of uniqueness and eleutheromania- an intense and irresistible desire for freedom.
